Pristine condition 5ton military cargo truck. Look around, you won't find a nicer one than this. It's a 1989, which is perfect as it is just over 25 years old, so that means I was able to register as an Historical Vehicle in Arizona. This is critical because the registration is cheaper and you don't need a commercial drivers license and won't have to pay tariffs based on the weight of the vehicle. This is all per AZ law, though it took a lot of educating of the MVD people to get it accomplished. It is licensed and registered. It is insured. Be ware buying off auction. You don't know what you will be getting and it takes for ever to get titles from the auction houses due to the backlog with the military. You can drive this one tomorrow. I bought for fun. Took shooting in the desert, camping by the lake, entered in a parade with my friends and makes the ultimate pub crawl vehicle. Entered it in a car show too. So many people want to climb on it and every vet has as story about these 5tons or the earlier deuce and a half's. Why is this one priced higher than others? When you see it you'll know why, but here are a few details that set this one apart: 1. Then engine is like new. You could eat dinner off of it, it is so clean. Cranks right up and runs like a top! You can see the service tags attached to vehicle. It was impeccably maintained rather than left to rot in a field. Research has discovered that it was stationed with the Santa Barbara Air National Guard. 2. The bed comes with the troop seats on the sides. These are the newer style fiberglass slats that won't splinter and need to be painted constantly. 3. The bed comes with a complete tarp cover for the bed with metal bows, again, not wood. 4. The body is perfect. Not accident damage. 5. All six tires are the Goodyear Super Singles, not dualies like the older deuce and a half's had. All the tires have tons of tread on them. 6. All systems are a go! The automatic tire inflation system works. You can air up and air down the tires as you drive. 7. I fabricated a tailgate ladder to make it easier for my drunk friends to get in and out. 8. Only 25,000 miles! It isn't even broken in yet for a Cummings Diesel. This truck is a blast to drive and turns heads everywhere you go! You'll definitely be able to survive the next zombie apocalypse or next round of flooding as it can ford water 4-5 feet deep. I've had my fun with it and my HOA has finally spotted it in my yard, so have decided to let it go rather than battle them. If you want the specs, search the net, there is ton of info out there and will give you perspective on the quality of this truck. SteelSoldiers DOT com is a great source of info. Cummings Diesel, Allison Trans, Rockwell differentials. Standard big rig stuff, nothing exotic. Any diesel shop can service. Not the case with the older deuce and a half's. 5ton, AM General, Troop Carrier, cargo, Harasco, Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Reserves, National Guard, Auction, M939, M923, survival, prepper, 6wd, 4wd,
